Frozen
December 31, 2014

The ever poplular "Frozen" theme for Teagan's 7th birthday cake. She wanted all the characters on it, so the two sisters are on the top, and the others are framed around the bottom tier. The cake is made with 8 inch and 6 inch hexagons. There was some major isomalt work, for me, on this cake and I even made my own molds to use. The 7, the picture frames and the floor at the top are all made from isomalt. The cake glittered and sparkled with all the glitter sprinkles used, but it doesn't really show up in the photo. Overall, a big challenge for me, on so many levels.


Snow White at the well
November 11, 2014

Ever since Rachel knew what a Disney Princess was, her favourite has always been Snow White. The bottom tier is a nine inch cake with buttercream, decorated with fondant flowers. The well base is cake, covered in fondant. The well, pillars, roof and Snow white are all edible, made from rice cereal, gum paste and fondant.


A Minion

An edible Minion for Natalya's 6th birthday. The Minion is a 6 inch round cake and the little cake is a 4 inch round. All the acessories are edible and are made from fondant and/or gum paste.
